Dr. Anthony Fauci announced that a vaccine for Covid-19 could be available in the United States before the end of the year providing it is found to be “safe and effective” according to BBC.
If approved, limited first doses would be distributed to health care workers and those in the highest risk categories first. It should be available to the general population several months into 2021.
Dr. Fauci advises continuing to keep all measures in place that can protect people from the virus.
