The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 2019 took place on Saturday. The focus was on the effects of the Covid 19 crisis.
The disease has changed the progress of over two decades of poverty reduction.
The study from the World Bank suggest an additional 88 to 115 million people could be pushed into extreme poverty (less than $1.90 a day) due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
